IMG Well-being Day
Hosted by Intealth®
On May 29, 2026, Intealth®, in partnership with U.S. graduate medical education programs, will observe IMG Well-being Day, marking the second year of this national initiative dedicated to supporting and celebrating international medical graduates (IMGs).
IMG Well-being Day is grounded in a shared understanding: that the well-being of IMGs is shaped by the environments in which they train, the people they work alongside, and the degree to which they feel seen and valued. Whether you are a program leader looking for ways to support IMG trainees, or an IMG navigating training yourself, this page offers resources and connection points related to IMG well-being in graduate medical education.
Intealth has published resources to help training programs recognize and support IMG residents and fellows on IMG Well‑being Day and beyond.
Programs may engage in a variety of ways, including:
The resources below are available for use and adaptation.
A brief guide for program leaders, faculty, and administrators to support intentional check-ins with IMG residents and fellows. The guide focuses on short, supportive conversations that emphasize listening and reinforce that trainees are valued members of their programs.
T2R is Intealth's digital resource hub for IMG residents and fellows, offering support throughout the journey to residency and beyond. The initial release, Gateway, provides free access to learning modules, a medical terminology glossary, well‑being resources, and more designed to help incoming trainees feel more confident and prepared as they begin training in the United States.
Programs may wish to share T2R with incoming IMG trainees as part of onboarding or orientation.
